Question

My mom is the Sr class sponsor where she works and could use some ideas. They are decorating the gym w/ the theme of an English Tea Garden. Any inexpensive decorating ideas would be extreemly helpful. I know w/ all of these crafty people you must have some great ideas!
Thank

suggestion

your mom may want to try contacting the local florists. sometimes they will let you borrow large plants if you make an agreement with them for small table settings or even the corsages and other flowers.

Thumbs up

I too agree with contacting the local florist or landskapers.

Another idea is to borrow potted plants and flowers from families in the prom class.

I am from a "VERY" small town and once the word is out, the offers come flowing in.

* Can create a fountain with the following:
a. hard plastic kiddie pool
b. water hose and hook up
c. run hose into pool from over side, hold in center with lawn ornament and wire, to face upwards
d. place water dispursement nossle on hose to make affect of fountain
e. place against wall, and you can back light it for affect
f. can float real or fake flowers in pool

* Borrow trellace from someones home, garden, or garage.
a. place in entrance way where prom attendents will enter prom.
b. Place potted plants at base
c. drape vined plants, real or fake over trellace for garden effect.
d. can add faux bird nests from 99 cent store, white Christmas lights, faux butterflys from craft or 99 cent store as well.

* See if they can borrow Raught Iron Lawn furniture from local florist, or someone in community.
Great for the official photo setting.

* Cover Potted trees with white Christmas lights for a very romantic garden setting.

* Can use very in expensive tulle, put white X-mas lights inside and intertwine the tulle from the ceiling, or over coronation area.

I planned several proms, and darn it, i was never queen!
