Lip Balm

Ingredient List:

1/2 ounce beeswax beads, refined
4 ounces sweet almond oil
2 teaspoons essential oil or food flavoring oil
some good essential oil choices that are nice are Tangerine, Lemon, Sweet Orange or Lime. The citrus oils seem to be popular for this application.

Utensils needed: 8 ounce glass measuring cup, teaspoon measuring spoon, stainless spoon for stirring and 1/4 ounce lip balm jars.

Put the 4 ounces of sweet almond oil in measuring cup, add beeswax beads and melt in microwave. Stir with spoon, and when cooled a bit, add essential or flavoring oil. Pour into lip balm jars, and when cool, label.

Sunney, this is great. My kids will love it. They are constantly asking me to put lip stick (ChapStick) on them. This way they can have their own. Brenda

You can also take just regular old shortening and melt it down and then add a pack of koolaid and dissolve it and then pour the solution into those old film packages that everyone has lying around. When it solidifies it will be just like lip gloss. Then for the kids poke a hole into the lid and tie some ribbon through the hole and waalaa they have a necklace.
