What you need:

Small crayons with paper removed
Muffin baking tray
Muffin cups (paper type)

What you do:
1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).

2. Place a muffin cup in each cup of the muffin tray.

3. Put some crayons in each cup. Mix the colours to make multi-coloured crayons. Make sure you have removed the paper wrapper from the crayons. Do not overfill cups.

4. Ask your adult helper to place the baking tray in the oven. For extra fun, turn on the oven light, so you can watch the crayons melt

5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until all the crayons are melted.

6. Remove baking tray from oven and allow to cool.

7. Remove from tray and peel off paper muffin cups. Now you have new, multi-coloured crayons. These make cool little gifts for younger siblings and friends.

Very cool! My son is almost crayola age too.
I really want to get him into fun activities. This sounds great. Thank you, Freebiegrl22.

What a cool idea! With that one and the chalk one, hubby will be pleased with my money saving capabilities. (not that chalk and crayons are expensive!)

This brings back memories! My teacher in Kindergarten used to make these for us. I loved them, but had forgotten. I will be making some just as soon as I finish cleaning all the crayon markings off of all the walls in the kids' rooms!! My little devils sure like to color! :P

Thanks for this one Freebiegrl22!!!!!!
