being physically challanged i have found a few short cuts to make working with plastic canvas easier.
1. use a dry eraser marker and chart out the design before you cut it. you can just lightly rub to wipe off the marker after you cut out the design. 2. for large or long straight cuts use a rotary cutter. you get a smooth clean cut every time and it saves on hand strain from using scissors especially when you're cutting the stiff, ultra stiff or large pieces of canvas 3. use an exacto knife to do the rest of your cutting. i prefer the "offset" blade for most cuts. i use a rottary cutting mat when i cut my plastic canvas. you can alssssso use meduim or thin sheett of styrofoam and push pins to hold it it place

GOOD TIPS. I USE THE KIND OF MARKERS YOU USE ON THE WHITE ERASEBOARDS. THEY DON'T RUB OFF AS EASILY WHILE YOUR CUTTING BUT COME OF SIMPLY BY RUNNING WATER FROM THE SINK OVER THE PIECES WHEN YOUR DONE CUTTING.
