easy eggshell plant pots for all ages

take an empty egg shell with a small part on the top removed.

glue a small piece of pipe cleaner to the bottom of it to make a stand for the egg.

using tempra paint or markers let the kids go wild on coloring or making designs on the outside of the egg.

put potting soil in the eggshells- a little over half-way.
add many grass seeds or 2 bean seads. the grass seeds take a few weeks to germinate, but bean seads will take only a few days.

cover the seeds with a little bit more soil and sprinkle lightly with water. when the seeds sprout, put the tiny plant pot in a sunny spot and enjoy.

i usually draw a face on the one with the grass seeds and it looks like a head with hair- a cheap chia pet. hope this is an ok one.

awwww what a cute idea. my kids are always asking me if they can plant something. the other day they had me open a can of green beans and went outside to plant them lol. i couldnt say no. You could also go to the craft store and buy those little tiny clay pots that are about one inch tall and do this same thing. that would be adorable. and make little collars around the bottom or little bow ties and little plastic eyelashes from the craft section for the girl chias eyes. hmmm gonna have to do this project tomorrow. Great post!!!!!

What a great Idea. My kids love scrambled eggs. So, that is what they are getting for breakfast and after breakfast they can make these. I think it is supposed to rain anyway. I love this forum!!
