If you are a sewer or crafter who uses very long hand sewing needles and have no place to store them, this works for me: I cut heavy plastic drinking straws(Burger King straws work best for me)to about 1 inch longer than the length of my needles. I then fold one end up about 1/2 inch and duct tape it shut.I put my needles in the straw and use another small piece of duct tape to close the other end.No more getting poked by long needles in my sewing box.And it's really cheap. Hope this is a tip some one can use.Can be used for other size needles as well.Just cut straws to needed size.
