How to Clean Stamps

At a recent Girl Scout event I took some of my Stampin UP Stamps...a few sets that are retired. The lady running the event did not have the girls clean them and when I went to pick them up they are all covered in black ink that I can not get off. How can I get them clean and looking new again or at least looking decent.

This came from a friend of mine that was in prison years ago: They used to soak the stamps in plain rubbing alcohol and it will disolve the ink (the guys used to reruse the same stamps over and over).

nevermind...you are talking about rubber stamps...lol!
rubbing alcohol works for that too.

note says "Avoid any cleaning products that include alcohol, this can cause the rubber to dry out and damage the stamp" also the bottom of the article about stains
