Red face Neck warmers

Does anyone know how to make those neck warmer/coolers that have corn in them?

Thanks,
Tweedyfan

I have one's like that but use rice. I just took a strip of material about 3' x 18" and sewed both ends (short ends) together and then put a stitch in for sections - you can make as big or small sections as you want then I usually add rice, pin them shut and stitch the long end closed. For cooling put in freezer for heat put in microwave. I haven't used corn so not sure what kind to use but rice works great and is really inexpensive.

I did neck warmers one year using rice as well. . .

I took a knee high nylon sock. . .with a pretty pattern. Added rice & lavender and tied sock off with knot to which I added some pretty ribbon.

My mom still has this on the back of her arm chair and she microwaves it often to heat it up and wrap around her neck.

I think I saw this on marthastewartliving.com.

Good luck.

just a warning - usually they recommend using natural fabrics, like cotton. synthetics can melt and /or start a fire

Ya know. . .

You are right. The sock is not nylon. . . but it stretches. . . Hmmmm.
