Spread the Word with this simple design technique for the ever-popular votive candle. With the right combination of colors and Bible verses you can create accents for any special occasion – shower, wedding or holiday – or simply to enrich your home.
Measure the height (- 1/8") and circumference (+ 1/4" overlap) of your votive holders. Then, using your home computer, type your favorite scriptures within these dimensions. Print onto translucent vellum paper – any color appropriate to your room or event. Cut out the rectangles. Wrap them around the glass and glue the ends together.
Note: Trim your vellum to rest below the top edge of the glass. Don't let it stick above, which could be a fire hazard. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
