I liked this idea very much! Good way to recycle all those cans.
I used a safety can opener to remove the lids of cans of various sizes. Next, I cleaned them up really well. IĀ handwashed AND ran them through the dishwasher. Once dry, I also cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. I spray-painted the inside and covered the outside with art paper. Next, I drilled a hole in the lid with a Dremel tool. And I attached some inexpensive drawer pulls. I added a small nut to tighten. Finally, I added felt flowers that I glued a small magnet to. I use them to store buttons, ribbons, fabric scraps!
