Illusion Earrings

Quick Illusion Earrings
Beginners Project, good for quick selling projects, or for teen earrings.

This is a super simple project that looks wonderful done in many kinds
of pressed glass beads.
You will need crimping pliers, which are an absolutely essential tool
for people who do a lot of crimping, they create a lovely tube crimp rather
then just squashing the crimp beads flat.
8 crimp beads, I used sterling silver 2 mm rounds
a pair of earring findings
2 4mm fire polish crystals
2 main accent beads drilled vertically (flowers would work really well)
2 accent beads drilled horizontally (leaf beads drilled across the
top, or daggers, whatever looks good to you)
Illusion cord

Start by cutting two pieces of illusion cord, 6 inch each, and thread the bottom bead on one piece and move it to the center, then with both ends joined, string on a crimp bead, the main accent bead, another crimp bead.
Get the bottom loop length how you want it, then use the crimping pliers on the crimp beads, crimping them close to the main accent bead. String on another crimp bead, the fire polish, and another crimp bead, thread the 2 ends of the illusion cord through the loop on the earring finding, then down back through the 3 beads, Get the length where you want it, then crimp down the crimp beads, and trim the ends of the illusion cord close to the crimp bead.

Repeat with the other earring checking it against the first to make sure it's the same length.

Other uses for illusion cord and crimp beads are strands of beads to braid into formal hair styles for a floaty effect, floating necklaces and bracelets.
You can make "wish" rings by threading on one crimp bead, one accent bead, or a couple size 6/o beads, one more crimp bead, and threading the other end of the cord through the beads twice, making a ring, then crimping the beads, then give it away with a little note saying to make a wish on the ring and wear it until it falls apart.
