Trying to find a particular doll head - Big Big Forums

I'd like to make some "angels" that were made by my family back in the early 70's. I'd like the heads to be the same or very very close, therein lies the problem.

These are photos of the type of head I'm looking for:

Her head is about 9 3/4" to 10" around.

The stick coming out of her neck is about 5 1/2". (I don't think this is so important though.

The few relatives of mine that have made these either have passed away or just no longer remember where they got anything.

I've tried looking at Hobby Lobby, Michael's Crafts and JoAnne Fabrics. (JoAnne had the very few doll making items on clearance as they were getting out of it completely.) There are no Franks Nursery in this area that I know of. (I live in the Atlanta area.)

I spent quite a long time Googling "Doll heads" and it's endless supply of links. I thought I actually had found something at a CRsCraft.com, but when I got the closest thing they had, it turned out to be the size of a golf ball!

I'd like to NOT go the wooden/styrofoam/I decorate face & head & hair type deal.

Does anyone have a clue where I could find these heads with the sticks coming out of the necks?

are you quite sure the 4" doll heads on a pick at the artcove site will not work? your ruler looks like it shows 4"
