need ideas to decorate a mirrored window

I used to see a lot of cute ideas at craft fairs etc but now that I have actually bought this mirrored window with panes I am having a hard time finding the cute ideas, does anyone know of anything. I am not sure what I want to do with it yet so I am open to any ideas. Thanks

Re: need ideas to decorate a mirrored window

I picked it up at a 2nd hand store , it is in good shape.and right now it is painted green. I was debating about trying to paint something on the mirror part or decorating it somehow, I am just not sure what?? If you have any ideas I would surely appreciate them.

Re: need ideas to decorate a mirrored window

I don't know how much you are wanting to decorate it or if you will ever want to change it out. Something I have done before (keep in mind it's been a long time so I don't even know if they still make the stuff to do it). I found some stuff that takes off the back (silver) of the mirror. What I did was take off certain areas of the backing and put a picture in it's place so that when you look at it from the front I had a picture right in the middle so you could still use the mirror but it also had a picture on it. Maybe you could do a collage of old family portraits and put some material on the front of it to make it look like a window with curtains and hang it on the wall and then when someone looks at it, it's like they're looking "back in time". I hope that doesn't sound confusing. Good luck.
