lego shark train http://www.lego.com/eng/trains/works...=build3&step=0

do you sew? you could check your local fabric stores for stuffed shark (or fish that you can modify) patterns or print out a picture on iron on transfer paper to fabric, add a fabric back sew around the picture for like a stuffed pillow (maybe even do a paper stuffed one using a print out, glue and sturdy paper.

googled these sites

Re: How can I make/build a shark??

You can make one out of newspaper too, look at this dragon face project, for an idea then just picture a shark and wad up your newspaper and tape it together until you get it in the shape you want. I just used plain white glue to make a dragon like this one... hope this helps. I love the other ideas people have already shared with you too, they are GREAT !!!

Re: How can I make/build a shark??

Ok -- thanks all for the advice -- surfergal I had looked at most of those sites already and I was NOT going to pay to make it (he is in kindergarten) LOL!! The picture of the free one at the bottom is the one I had found before posting that had a broken link and I emailed them to update or send me a new link but they never wrote back .

What we ended up doing was using paper plates (actually the styrofoam ones) -- I cut a triangle out on 2 plates for the mouth -- then went back and cut out notches like "V"s for teeth I used the 2 triangles for the bottom fins and got another plate and cut out the trademark dorsal fin and a shark like (thresher) tail. I glued the plates faces together and sandwiched all the other parts between. I drew on eyes with a sharpie -- and made them mean looking! It was cute and he was happy. For an extra touch I got blue construction paper cut out 2 circles then made a mini fish (same way as above with out the teeth) and used string to suspend it in the mouth! Looked like the shark was about to eat it!!

There you have it!

Thanks again for the help!!
