Lamp post candy dish?
Went to a craft baazar yesterday, looking for new ideas, of course. Anyhow, someone was selling these really nice candy dishes that looked like a lamp post, decorated for the holidays. And I'm trying to figure out exactly how they go together. Has anyone ever seen these? (Wish I had a pic)
I'll explain it the best I can. The pole, approx. 2 feet tall appeared to be pvc pipe, candy cane striped to look more festive. It was standing upright on a basic wooden base. Mounted atop the pole was a clear beveled glass candy dish with a lid. It really looked a lot like a lamp post. These even had a post coming out the side of them, with a hanging sign (wooden plaque swinging on a chain) that said, "Welcome", "Merry Christmas", etc.. The candy was simply placed in the dish to help yourself. I don't explain things all that well, but it would be a neat thing to have in an office, or if you had lots of guests at Christmas time, to put it by the door.
Anyhow, I'm searching for accurate directions. If anyone has seen these, let me know.
TIA
