Hello!

My son and I did that cardboard candles tonight (http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-an...y&craftid=10619)
They turned out great! We did two green and two red. Wish I had a digi cam, I would post a pic.
Anyhoo, just wanted to offer up a couple of tips for anyone planning on doing these.

If you use TP rolls, you can use a nail file to get all the Tp and glue off it so it is smooth.

And if you don't have any gold foil laying around and are on a budget like we are then head on over to your local Dollar General. They have gold foil door covers that work great and they are only a buck! (note they are kind of hard to cut).
