Hemming dress pants?

We went back to business casual here at work and I ended up having to shop for a new wardrobe. I ended up getting some slacks that are too long. Rather then take them to the cleaners, I am going to attempt to hem them up myself. Anyway, other than buying a big expensive sewing machine, anybody have any recomendations? I am not really good with sewing by hand, so if there are any gadgets out there that will make it easy, I would love to hear about them. TIA

Re: Hemming dress pants?

you can get something called stich witchery. You place it between the two pieces of fabric and iron it in. Very easy to use. Can usually find it at JoAnn's
