Help!
I need ideas for centerpieces for High school prom. Their theme is New Orleans(not Mardi Gras). They have a street scene set up but the tables will be off to the side. I am not very creative, I can make things that others suggest, but can't think of cool things myself. Please send ideas--you can pm me here or reply here.

For some reason it sounds plain and kinda stupid but I think it fits in.
What about bowls with fruit in them? I dont know where it is I've seen this type of thing before with "New Orleans" type theme but Im sure I have. Im seeing like gold plated bowls with banana's and grapes and oranges in it. Sorry, If I think of something better i'll be sure and post about it. (It was a spur of the moment Idea )

How about


print a historcal facts and or photos of famous lanmarks or things NO is known for (Jazz, Saints, french qtr, foods, voodo. mardi gras, etc) and paste it on to a bright colored box - stack the boxes in a random pyramid(s) shape and tape in place with double sided tape

make small sign posts of well known NO streets - Canal street, Bourbon st etc and stick them into a flower arrangement or a styro ball covered in foil in a bowl
