Ideas for wedding keepsake with material scraps?? - Big Big Forums

Hi everyone!

I am making the junior bridesmaid dresses for my cousins wedding (all the juniors are her children) and wanted to make her a keepsake from the left over material from the dresses. It's going to be a wild wedding, all the material is satin, and the colors are bright, purple, pink, and yellow!! Anyone have any idea's?

Make a little crazy quilt pillow cover. Just sew a bunch of scraps together to "make a piece" of fabric and cut to the size you need for the top and back with one solid piece. It doesn't have to be a big pillow. You could even cut it in a heart shape and trim with a bit of lace. You could put a little pocket on it with a pic of the girls in it or the wedding invitation inside. Good luck. L

sachets for closet or drawers, or Christmas tree ornaments (stars or hearts stuffed with potpouri or scented fiberfill) or a patchwork type padded picture frame (trim with ribbons, lace or flowers from the dresses, headpieces or bouquets too if possible)
