Arrow Floral Door Broom

Also check out the link at the bottom for other great projects.

Supplies

2 pkgs-eucalyptus

1-32" Straw broom

3 stems-flower clusters (burgundy)

3-stems cabbage rose (dark mauve)

1 bush-mums (ivory)

3-berry sprays (cream)

4 yds-1 ½' ribbon
Tools

scissors
floral wire
hot glue gun
glue sticks
Instructions

Break longest stems of eucalyptus from main stem. Arrange on front of broom. Keep length even with broom. Glue in place. Reserve smallest pieces as fill-ins.

Cut roses from stems just above first leaves. Bend stem just below head so the head gently tilts outward. Starting in upper most left corner, stagger roses down front of broom. Do the same with the mums. Place a few mums against roses, place a few just above and a few just below roses.

Cut berries from one stem into three lengths. Bend the longest stems into loose "S" shapes. Place one at side of upper most rose so it trails down side of broom. Nestle the next long stem around the second rose. Slightly lift the berries to make them more visible. Cut the remaining stems of berries into individual bunches.

Cut flower clusters from the main branch. Gently shape stems. Flue one at each side of broom. Glue other into center of broom. Evenly distribute these and the remaining berry bunches throughout front of broom.

Bow: Using an eight inch form, wrap ribbon until used. Carefully remove from form. Find center and cut a "V" at either side. Cut no closer than ¼" Wrap a length of floral wire approx. 12" long around center. Twist to hold in place. From left to right, pull loops out and up. Repeat on other side. Fluff loops and wire to broom at base of handle.
