Easter Craft Projects
Just a few I found. Hope their useful for someone. Big Mouth Easter Bunny
Fun Easter Crafts Each year as Easter approaches our family saves gallon-size plastic milk jugs to make our traditional Big Mouth Bunny Baskets I draw a large circle in the front for the mouth and cut it out with scissors. The children cover the entire outside of the container - except for the handle - with cotton balls dipped in glue. I draw ears, eyes, noses, whiskers and bows on paper and the children cut them out and glue them onto the bunnies. The girl bunnies wear their bow in their hair and the boy bunnies wear it as a bow tie. We leave the handles intact so even our youngest child can carry her own basket easily. Marsha Sue Sangster Decatur, IL Wish you could deliver downy chicks and cuddly bunnies for the holiday as fast as Mother Nature does? It's easy-and you don't have to sew a thing. Cuddly Bunnies Pompoms: 1" head, 1 1/2" body, 5/8" tail, 1/4" (5mm) nose 12" matching chenille stem Two 4mm beads for eyes Tacky glue 1. GLUE head to body, pressing down firmly or trimming to shape. Let dry. Add nose and eyes. Let dry. 2. CUT six 2" lengths of chenille. Fold each in half. Glue on as curved ears and arms and as feet underneath, protruding at front. Add tail at back, opposite feet, to balance. Downy Chicks Yellow pompoms: 1" head, 11/2" body Yellow thick-and-thin chenille stem Hot-pink felt for beak and feet 2 black 4mm beads for eyes Tacky glue 1. GLUE head to body, pressing down firmly or trimming to shape. 2. TRACE beak and foot. Cut from felt. Fold beak; press fold with iron. Glue beak and eyes to head, feet under body. 3. CUT 2" strip from thick section of chenille; cut in half for 1" wings; glue chenille to sides. Beaded Eggs for Easter Easter never looked so pretty By Brent Pallas 1. Paint papier-mâché eggs white. Let dry. 2. Cover a small portion with tacky glue. Stand tiny barrel beads close together in the glue (use the tip of a craft knife to lift and place the beads). 3. Continue until the egg is covered. Let dry. Variations Stripe: Around the midpoint of the egg, glue a two-row strip of different-colored beads. Finish as directed above. Flowers: For each, glue six beads around one center bead. Repeat about an inch apart as you cover the egg. The pictures and directions are here. Sorry I don't know how to put pictures on. But I can copy and paste good! http://www.*********.com/article.asp?section_id=46&article_id=5907 I don't know why stars came up were it should say womans day but together. For some reason it keeps staring it out? Last edited by Gitty : 04-09-2003 at 04:45 PM. |

I love the Big Mouth Easter Bunny basket idea! My little ones are having an Easter egg hunt next weekend, and these would be perfect to collect their treasures! Thanx!
