Instructions
PREPARATION
Clean candle with rubbing alcohol.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Candle
Note: Mix paint 1:1 with Candle Painting Medium.
1. Basecoat bottom 1" with Holly Berry Red and remainder with Deep Waterfall Blue. Let dry.
2. Load toothbrush with thinned Daisy Cream; spatter blue area.
3. Load small piece of cellulose sponge with Daisy Cream and lightly pounce snowman shape and snow. (Refer to photo for placement.)
4. Use #2 liner for the following details: scarf – Mistletoe Green; earmuffs – Holly Berry Red; arms – 1:1 mix of Holly Berry Red and Mistletoe Green; carrot nose – 1:1 mix of Holly Berry Red and Fiesta Yellow; smile, eyes and buttons –Wrought Iron Black.
5. Add vertical stripes 3/4" apart with Burgundy Rose on Holly Berry Red.
Candle Holder
1. Basecoat rims of a 4" saucer and 3" pot Deep Waterfall Blue; when dry, load toothbrush with thinned Daisy Cream and spatter lightly.
2. Basecoat bottom of saucer Daisy Cream; when dry, paint snowflakes with #2 liner and Light Waterfall Blue.
3. Basecoat bottom of 3" pot with Holly Berry Red; when dry, paint Burgundy Rose horizontal stripes with 3/4" flat brush.
4. Glue pieces together, bottom to bottom.
6" Pot
1. Basecoat bottom with Deep Waterfall Blue; when dry, load toothbrush with thinned Daisy Cream and spatter lightly.
2. Basecoat rim with Holly Berry Red and add Burgundy Rose stripes with 3/4" flat brush.
Candy Dish
1. Basecoat bottoms of 8" and 4" saucers Daisy Cream. When dry, paint snowflakes with Light Waterfall Blue, using #2 liner.
2. Basecoat rims and inside saucers with Holly Berry Red. When dry, paint Burgundy Rose stripes on rim with 3/4" flat brush.
3. Paint 1", 2" and 4" pots, following steps 1 and 2 for 6" pot.
4. Paint 4" pot, following steps 3 and 4 for candle. (Refer to photo.)
5. Glue bottom to bottom 4" pot to 8" saucer and 4" saucer saucer to 2" pot. Glue small set inside 8" saucer and 1" pot rim side down into 4" saucer. (Refer to photo.)
6. Glue two 1" wooden beads together and cover with Snow-Tex. Shape two small beads of Snow-Tex for earmuffs; apply while wet. When dry, paint Holly Berry Red. Glue small twigs in place for arms. Cut end of toothpick 3/8" long and paint with 1:1 mix of Fiesta Yellow and Holly Berry Red. Paint eyes and mouth with Wrought Iron Black, using fine point marker. Once everything is dry, glue snowman on top of 1" pot.
