does anyone do embossing?

HI all! does anyone here do embossing? As in used for cards, scrapbooking and the like. It looks really really nice and I wanted to start learning how to do it. I wanted to wait and see if any classes for embossing would be at some of the arts and crafts stores around here, but they haven't offered it yet.

Well, I wanted to know, what should I get for now to start off? It looks like this kind of project can be really expensive, and I don't wanna get things yet that I won't even know how to use.

Also, can someone give me tips on how to use those tools too? heheh, that would be really helpful. Thanx!

HEY TONI,
i do embossing on my scrapbook pages and greeting cards..there is a new product from Fiskars called the ShapeBoss EmBoss set. it makes it really simple with just a few instructions..you dont need a light box or anything. the starter set comes with a stencil that has about 30 or so embossing shapes, you get the took the box it fits in and at morethanink.com you can get it for less than $20. it is one of my best investments as a scrapbooker. hope this helps
