Arrow Gone Buggy

Supplies:
Four 1” wooden wheels
One wooden ten pin
Two 1 1/2” wooden knobs
One 2” wooden knob
One 2” wooden pot
Two plastic or wooden rings
One 2” wooden ball
One 3” wooden egg
One 1 1/2” wooden wheel
One 1 1/4” wooden candle cup
One 2” wooden spool
One roll of 20 gauge black wire
Acrylic paints and paint markers
Spray finish
Hot glue or wood glue
Flower Pot Butterfly:

Glue rings to top of flower pot.
Then glue 2” knobs at top.
Glue 1” wheel to bottom of pot.
Cut antennae from black wire and glue onto top of head.
Cut 30” of black wire. With center of wire at front, twist around rings tightly.
Curl remainder of wire on each side for wings.
Paint with acrylic paint in any chosen pattern.
When dry, seal with spray finish.
Dragonfly:

Glue 2” ball to egg shape and glue 1 1/2” knob on top.
Glue wire antennae on head.
Loop wire around neck and form wings.
Paint and allow to dry. Seal with finish.
Moth:

Glue upside down candle cup to wooden spool.
Then glue 1” wheel to the bottom of the wooden spool.
Make eyes by gluing 1” wheels to the upside down candle cup.
Cut approximately 4” of black wire and glue to the back of the moth’s head.
Make wings by using the same process as the flower pot butterfly.
Decorate with acrylic paint and paint markers. Spray on finish when the paint is dry.
Follow the same type of process for each bug, gluing wood pieces together and twisting wire around body parts and curling out to form wings, using curves and circles.

Important Note for all Projects:
Decorate with paint markers after the project is sprayed with the finish and dry.
