Spunky Spider (Lollipop)
Supplies:
1 lollipop
4 black chenille stems
1 black pom-pom
2 (7mm) wiggly eyes
Thick craft glue
Instructions:
Wrap one chenille stem around the end of the lollipop. Make sure the legs are even. Repeat this until all chenille stems have been used.
Adjust the legs so that they touch the lollipop. Note: The lollipop is the back of the spider.
Glue a pom-pom onto the stem, just in front of the spider’s legs.
Glue two wiggle eyes to the pom-pom
Which Ol' Witch
Supplies:
1 small square paper maché box
1 craft stick
Purple raffia or yarn
2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
2 (¼”) wooden buttons
Thick craft glue
Acrylic paint - Black, Wisteria, Lima Green, White, Pumpkin and Rhythm & Blue
Instructions:
Paint the paper maché box Lima Green. Let Dry.
Draw a diagonal line, from one corner to the other. Paint one side of this line black. The black portion will be the witch’s hat.
Paint a craft stick black. Glue raffia to the back of the stick and trim unevenly. Glue the craft stick over the line where black & green paint touch. Now bend the raffia so it looks unruly.
Paint a jagged white tooth on the left side of the witch’s smile.
Dip a dry brush into Rhythm & Blue paint. Work off MOST of the excess paint. Brush the paint on the edges of the hat and on the craft stick. Let dry.
Brush on RIGHTSTEP “clear” varnish.
Spooktacular Magnets
Supplies:
1 (midwest) balsa wood 3/32”x3”x36”
1 pack of button magnets
8 craft sticks
4 (1¼”) wood doll heads
Scissors
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Flat brush & liner brush
RIGHTSTEP “gloss” varnish
Acrylic paint - Black, Lima Green, Spring Green, Pumpkin, GP Purple, Fuchsia & White
General Instructions for all Magnets:
Cut 4 - 2” pieces of balsa wood.
Hot glue craft sticks so that they form a “cross.” Be sure to leave about 1½” at the top for the doll head. Note - the horizontal craft stick should be glued on top of the vertical craft stick.
Decorate and paint the magnet as shown in individual instructions.
Glue 2”x3” piece of balsa wood to the craftsticks (refer to Fig1). Now glue the decorated doll head just above the body.
Dracula:
Using a flat brush, paint the craft sticks and doll head GP Purple. Line the arms with White paint.
Paint the balsa wood Purple. Once dry, outline with Black paint.
Using a liner brush, paint a white rectangle where Purple meets Black. Next write the words “Trick or Treat” with White paint.
Refer to Fig. 2 for embellishments.
Frankenstein:
Using a flat brush, paint the craft sticks and doll head Lima Green. Line the arms with Purple paint.
Paint the balsa wood Pumpkin. Once dry, outline with Spring Green.
Using a liner brush, paint a purple rectangle where Pumpkin meets Spring Green. Next write the words “Freaky Franky.”
Refer to Fig. 3 for embellishments.
Scary Cat:
Using a flat brush, paint the craft sticks and doll head Black. Line the arms with White paint.
Paint the balsa wood Pumpkin. Once dry, outline with Black paint.
Using a liner brush, paint a white rectangle where pumpkin meets black.
Using a liner brush, write “Scary Cat” with Black paint.
Refer to Fig. 4 for embellishments.
Make cat’s ears with a 4” piece of a black chenille stem. Make a Zig Zag and glue it to the back of the wood bead.
Mummy:
Using a flat brush, paint the craft sticks and doll head White.
Paint the balsa wood Lima Green. Once dry, outline with Purple paint.
Using a liner brush, write “Mind Your Mummy” with Black paint.

"Oh Mumsy"
Supplies:
Plastic Disposable Gloves
4" and 4 1/2" terra cotta clay pots
Poly Fiberfill
19 gauge wire
Masking Tape
Fabric Stiffener
Unbleached Muslin
Tacky Glue
Instructions:
Lay out glove on a flat surface.
Place five strips of wire over each finger.
Twist ends of wire together at the palm of the glove.
Cut off excess wire. (see fig. 1)
Wrap the ends of wires with masking tape so they will not punch through the glove.
Place wires inside the glove.
Stuff the hand with fiberfill.
Glue the clay pots together. (see fig. 2)
Tape the stuffed glove tightly to the top of the pots.
Bend fingers into desired positions.
Cut unbleached muslin into long strips approx. 1” wide across width of fabric.
Soak strips of muslin in fabric stiffener and wrap around entire piece, going around each finger and around the rest of the hand.
Cut off or add strips as needed. Allow to dry.
Glue a few strips of dry muslin around some areas of hand for ragged look.
Groovy Ghouly Wreath
Groovy Ghouly Wreath
Supplies:
White fabric - 3 (6 1/2” x 6 1/2”) square pieces
Bright Halloween theme fabric - 12 (6 1/2” x 6 1/2”) square pieces or pre-made fabric pack
10” straw wreath
15 lollipops
Black raffia
6 (7mm) wiggly eyes
Super Sharpie ( Optional)
30 ga. wire
Instructions:
Leave the wreath wrapped in plastic.
Wrap one square piece of fabric around the lollipop. Tie a piece of raffia around the lollipop to secure the fabric. Repeat this step with all 15 lollipops.
Glue 2 wiggle eyes on each of the 3 white ghosts.
Optional - use a Super Sharpie to make eyes on the “Ghouls.”
Place 2 ghosts/ghouls on the straw wreath. Angle them so that they are side-by-side. Wire in place. Repeat step until all of the ghosts and ghouls have been wired in place.
Note
When placing the ghosts and ghouls, be creative! Arrange the colors in a fun pattern.
"All Wrapped Up" - Duck Pin Mummy
Supplies:
Paper mache duck pins
Cheesecloth
Fabric Stiffener
Acrylic paint (Trail Tan and Army Green type color)
Instructions:
Base paint the duck pins an army green type of color.
Cut strips of cheesecloth.
Dip the cloth in fabric stiffener and wrap around the duck pin leaving some ends sticking out to sesemble a wrapping that is coming undone. Let dry.
Add some water to thin the Trail Tan acrylic paint.
Paint onto wrappings in hit and miss fashion all over the "mummy." This gives it a dirty look.
