Arrow Some more last minute Halloween stuff.

Witch

Supplies:
One small purple plastic ball
9”x12” Black felt
One 3” styrofoam ball
Small bent carrot (for nose)
Snowville Broom Set
Darice 4” Witch Hat
2” white grapevine wreath
Fat Quarters (Halloween Pattern)
12mm wiggle eyes
Design Master Christmas Green Spray Paint
Natural fiber doll hair
Black chenille stem
Acrylic Paint: Delta Rouge or Mauve, Delta Rhythm Blue
Instructions:
Glue purple ball to wreath to stand.
Glue 3” styrofoam ball on top of plastic ball for head.
Paint styrofoam ball fleshtone. Let dry.
Paint mauve or rouge color cheeks.
Glue on 12mm eyes.
Using rhythm blue, make face details (see pattern).
Spray paint the doll hair green.
Paint carrot nose fleshtone.
Cut black felt to make wings.
Twist chenille stems together and glue to wings in a zig zag pattern.
Cut fat quarters to fit around neck. Fringe ends.
Glue wings to the side of the plastic ball. Glue hair and hat to top of head, and glue the broom to the front of the witch.


Halloween Spoon Critters

Dracula Spoon
Supplies:
Light purple, purple gleams, black, and white paint
Black felt
Black pipe cleaner
6mm wiggle eyes
1/2” wood button
Instructions:
Paint spoon light purple. Let dry.
Cut black felt 3 1/2”x3 1/2” with notch for cape.
Cut tiny piece of pipe cleaner for eyebrow.
Glue on wiggle eyes. Glue on unibrow.
With black paint, make mouth line.
Paint 1/2” wood button gleams purple.
Paint fangs with white paint.
Use purple gleams for cheeks.
Cut triangle in black felt for hair trim . Round the top. Glue in place.
Glue and tie on cape. Tie with orange ribbon.

Indian Spoon
Supplies:
Brown and tan felt
Red and black pipecleaners
Shiny dimentional paint: red, white and black
Instructions:
Cut 2 1/2”x2 1/2” piece of tan felt to fit spoon. Glue in place.
Make a neck choker from a small strip of brown fabric. Fringe and glue around neck.
Twist colored pipe cleaners together for head band.
Cut out a teardrop shape from brown felt to make feather. Fringe sides. Paint white shiny paint down center. Let dry.
Glue feather to back of head.
Make face using black shiny paint for eyes, white shiny paint for war markings, and black shiny paint for smile.

Ghost Spoon
Supplies:
White party streamers
6mm wiggle eyes
Orange or Fall ribbon
Black shiny paint
White pipe cleaner
Instructions:
Glue on wiggle eyes.
Tear 3 pieces of streamers at different lengths (your preference).
Tie with orange or Fall ribbon
Use black slick paint to make a wiggly mouth that looks open.
Glue white curled white pipe cleaner on top of head.

Frankenstein Spoon
Supplies:
Green and black felt
Silver paint
Two 1/2” wooden spools
6mm wiggle eyes
Green floral tape
Sharpie marker
Neon green pipe cleaner
Instructions:
Cut a piece of green felt 2 1/2”x2 1/2”. Glue to face of spoon.
Paint spools silver.
Glue on 6mm wiggle eyes.
Make smile and nose with Sharpie pen.
Glue spools on side of neck
Make zig zag with small piece of pipe cleaner.
Make hair with strip of black felt, cutting bangs.
Wrap spoon handle with green floral tape.
Tie orange bow around neck.

Freaky Frank

Supplies:
1 small rectangular paper maché box
2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
2 (1 1/2”x5/8”) wooden spools
¼” wooden button (for the nose)
Acrylic paint: Gleams-Metallic Silver, Cinnamon, Jubilee Green, Tompte Red, Black, White, Lime Green, & Purple
Brushes: #1 liner brush, #10 flat brush, #3 round brush and #6 or #8 flat (old is best)
Instructions:
Base coat the paper maché box Jubilee Green. Once dry, paint on another coat of the same color. Let dry.
Dip a dry brush (#6 or #8) into Lime Green paint. Work off MOST of the excess paint. Now make crisscross (X) marks all over the box.
Using a dry brush, paint Tompte Red & Cinnamon cheeks. This method works best if the brush moves in a circular motion, beginning in the center and working its way out.
Use a #3 round brush and Black paint to paint Frank’s hair. Make uneven/scraggly strokes. Start painting at the top and work downward. Add some funky highlights by repeating this step with Purple. Note: The hair should go all the way around the box.
Paint 2 wooden spools silver and glue one to either side of the box. Refer to Fig. 1 for embellishments
Glue on wiggle eyes.


Dreaded Dracula

Supplies:
1 small hexagon shaped paper maché box
2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
1 (¼”) wood button
Elf dust
Two wood teardrop shapes
RIGHTSTEP clear varnish
Glue gun & hot glue sticks
Acrylic paint: White, Black, Wisteria, Bahama Purple & Dunes Beige
Brushes: #1 liner brush, #10 flat
Instructions:
Basecoat the box with Dunes Beige.
Dip a dry #10 brush into Bahama Purple. Work off MOST of the excess paint. Run the brush over the surface of the paper maché box.
Using a dry brush, paint Wistera cheeks. This method works best if the brush moves in a circular motion, beginning in the center and working its way out.
Paint black on the sides of the box; where hair should be.
Use Fig. 1 as a guide when painting Dracula’s face.
For the hair: Make white dotted lines around the hairline. Using Bahama Purple, paint some squiggle lines, making sure to follow the shape of the box. Use white to shadow the purple squiggle lines.
Use Dunes Beige to paint two wood teardrops. Hot glue one on each side of the Dracula where ears should be.
Brush elf dust over hair and cheeks.
Seal with RIGHTSTEP varnish.


Mummy

Supplies:
1 round paper mache box
2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
RIGHTSTEP “gloss” varnish
Acrylic paint: White, Black & Pink Quartz
Brushes: #10 flat & #10/0 liner
Graphite paper
Tracing paper
Instructions:
Paint the paper mache box white.
Trace the pattern given in fig. 1 onto tracing paper, using graphite paper underneath and paint over with black paint.
Using a dry brush, create Pink Quartz cheeks. This method works best when the brush works in a circular motion, starting from the middle and working its way out.
Make a crooked smile with Pink Quartz.
Glue on 2 wiggle eyes.
Brush on RIGHTSTEP varnish.


Cheesecloth Ghost

Supplies:
1 (12”x4”) styrofoam cone
1 (3½”) styrofoam ball
2pcs. of 16 gauge 18” wire (white cloth covered)
1 (3yd x 36”) pack of cheese
1 bottle of fabric stiffener
1 white fabric fat quarter or plastic wrap
1 large bowl or bucket
Bottles, soda cans, candles or anything round
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Gloves (optional)
Instructions:
Hot glue the styro ball to the styro cone to form a head & body.
To create arms: bend 1 piece of 18” wire in half. Leave a small loop at the end. This loop will be the hand. Poke the ends of the wire into the styro cone where the arm should be. Repeat step for the other arm.
Wrap the arms with white fabric or plastic wrap.
Cut the cheese cloth into 3 (1yd.) pieces.
Pour fabric stiffener into a large bowl or bucket. Soak one piece of cheese cloth. Squeeze out excess.
Carefully drape the cheesecloth over the head and body of the ghost. For best results drape the cloth at a diagonal angle.
Repeat steps 5 & 6 until all of the cheese cloth has been used.
Give the ghost a breezy feel by stretching the ends of the cheese cloth. Use some bottles, cans or candles to curl the ends of the cloth upward and downward.
Let this sit overnight. Once completely dry, the styro body and arms can be removed. The styrofoam body can also be left in the ghost to give a little extra support.
Decorate the ghost with: raffia, ribbon, flowers, wiggle eyes, glow in the dark accents, etc. This ghost also looks great undecorated.

Spooky Spider (Light Bulb)

Supplies:
Wooden light bulb
4 Purple chenille stems
4 black chenille stems
2 (7mm) wiggly eyes
Acrylic paint: Black & Lavender
Old paint brush
Thick craft glue
Instructions:
Paint light bulb black.
Twist a purple and a black chenille stem together. Glue this to the ridge area of the light bulb, bending at the middle and at the feet. Repeat this step until all of the chenille stems have been used.
Glue wiggly eyes to the small end of the light bulb.
Using an old brush lightly paint lavender paint onto the bulb of the spider
