Halloween Lighted Fire Pot
Supplies:
3 Bunches Curly Willow
1 Clay pot
2-4 Floral Foam Blocks.
1 Box 100 String Clear Lights
1 Spider
3/4 yard Fabric of Choice
4 yards Ribbon of Choice
1 Spider Web
1 Can Gold Glitter Spray
1 Package Batting
1 Spool Wire
1 Package Greening Pins
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Instructions:
Glue the floral foam into the clay pot.
Pad the clay pot with the batting and set it on the fabric. Pull the fabric up around the battings an secure it into the floral foam with greening pins.
Arrange the Curly Willow into the clay pot.
Wire the lights onto the branches of the curly willow, as needed. Secure the light cord base into the floral foam with greening pins.
Spread the webbing over the branches and lights.
Attach the spider.
Spray the lighted fire pot with glitter.
Ribbon Witch
Supplies:
Porcelain Witch head & hands
5 Chenille Stems
5 yards ea. of 7 different ribbons
1 Witch hat
1 plastic cone
¾ yd. of sheer Halloween mystery fabric for cape
1 pkg. Black raffia for witch’s hair
1 broom
1 yd. 5/8" ribbon for cape
½ yd. Ribbon for witch’s hat
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Instructions:
Twist 2 chenille stems together. Cut one of the ribbons 12" long and wrap around the chenille stems.
Take 1 of the witch’s arms and fill it with hot glue. Insert one end of the chenille stem into the arm. Repeat for the other arm, attaching it to the opposite end of the chenille stem.
Take 4 of the ribbons and measure each 1 ½ the length of the arms—fingertip to fingertip. Center the ribbon between the arms and secure with chenille stem. Bring ribbon down and attach at the wrist with ½ yard of one of the narrow ribbons (there will be about a 2" tail below the hands). Bend arms at center and glue inside doll breastplate.
Set aside one yard each of 5 ribbons to use as a shawl for the witch.
Gather the rest of the ribbons together and make bow loops of desired lengths. Bring chenille stem around center of ribbon loops and secure with chenille stem.
Glue loops to cone and wrap chenille around the top to secure.
Glue witch head and arms onto top of the ribbon and cone.
Take 4 of 5 ribbons set aside for shawl, center in back of the witch, bring over the shoulders, overlap in the front, and tie around center with the 1 yard of ribbon that is left.
Gather the sheer Halloween mystery fabric 4" down from the top. Place it around the witch’s neck and tie it on with 1 yard of ribbon. Arrange fabric to form cape. Trim and round corners if desired.
Cut lengths of raffia, secure in center with a strand of raffia. Make 3-4 groups. Glue one bunch across from top of witch’s head. Glue remaining bunches to back of witch’s head. Take ½ yard of ribbon, glue around the hat and make a knot on the side of the hat. Glue hat onto witch’s head.
Pumpkin Plate
Supplies:
One glass plate
One Sharpie pen
Perm Enamel Surface Conditioner
Tangerine Perm Enamel
Royal Purple Perm Enamel
Limeade Perm Enamel
Burnt Sienna Perm Enamel
Instructions:
Wipe plate with surface conditioner.
Transfer pattern (see below) onto tracing paper.
With black paint, make mouth and nose. Line with white paint. Invert and place on top of plate.
Trace pattern with Sharpie pen to the backside of the plate. Let dry.
Fill in pattern with perm enamel as follows:
Rim - Royal Purple
Pumpkin - Tangerine
Leaves & Vines - Limeade
Stump - Burnt Sienna
Ghoulish Tumblers
Supplies:
Clear Plastic Tumblers
One 1” plastic-foam ball for each cup
Craft knife
Acrylic Paint: Rhythm Blue, White, Red, & Black
One package Delta Freshly Fallen Snow
Instructions:
Cut ball in half.
Glue eyeballs to cup
With black paint, make mouth and nose. Line with white paint.
Brush on Freshly Fallen snow onto the eyes. Let dry.
Paint the eyeball white, paint the iris Rhythm Blue and paint the pupil black.
Paint red bloodshot eyes veins in eyes.
Halloween Napkin Rings
Ghost
Supplies:
Acrylic Paint: white, black
Koss Pastels (craft chalk): red, blue
Terra Cotta napkin ring
Matte or gloss sealer spray
Instructions:
Basecoat terra cotta ring white.
Paint eyes and smile with black paint.
With a small round brush (old is best), mix red and blue pastel chalk to create purple. Brush above eyes and below mouth.
Clean brush with a paper towel. Do not use water!
Lightly brush red chalk over cheek area. Spray with matte sealer or gloss sealer.
Dracula
Supplies:
Acrylic Paint: black, pale lilac, pale yellow, white, periwinkle
Koss Pastels (craft chalk): red, blue
Terra Cotta napkin ring
Matte or gloss sealer spray
Instructions:
Paint front of napkin ring pale lilac. Paint the back and sides black.
Apply the face, either by freehand drawing or using tracing paper & graphite paper.
Trace details with periwinkle.
With white paint, paint the whites of the eyes and fangs.
With black paint, paint the eyebrows, pupils, eyelash line, and outline the fangs.
With yellow paint, paint the iris of the eye.
Use red pastel chalk to brush on the cheeks and red and blue chalk for shadowing
Pumpkin
Supplies:
Acrylic Paint: Delta Pumpkin, black
Koss Pastels (craft chalk): red, orange
Terra Cotta napkin ring
Matte or gloss sealer spray
Instructions:
Basecoat terra cotta ring in Pumpkin (orange).
Apply face by free hand or use tracing or graphite paper.
Apply red and orange pastel chalk on lines.
With black paint, fill in face. Make lines all round pumpkin.
Spray with matte sealer or gloss sealer.
Frankenstein
Supplies:
Acrylic Paint: black, Jubilee Green, Rhythm Blue, white, silver
Koss Pastels (craft chalk): black
Terra Cotta napkin ring
1/2 inch wooden spools
Matte or gloss sealer spray
Instructions:
Basecoat terra cotta ring in Jubillee Green.
Paint inside of ring black. Paint hair on top black.
Apply face by free hand or use tracing or graphite paper.
Outline face details with black. Paint unibrow black.
Highlight nose, mouth and forehead with white paint.
With white paint, paint the eyes. Paint the iris Rhythm Blue, paint the pupil black, and highlight with white.
Glue spools on neck. Paint silver.
Spray with matte sealer or gloss sealer.
Bone Appetite
Supplies:
4 lollipops
White party streamers
Masking tape
Black Scribbles puffy paint
Instructions:
Completely wrap streamers around each lollipop. Secure with tape.
Tape lollipops together in pairs.
To create the bone: Stack the sticks with the suckers at opposite ends and tape all four sticks together.
Wrap streamers over the lollipops, completely covering the tape and sticks.
Using black puffy paint, write names or “Bone Appetite.” Let dry.
Frankenstein
Supplies:
One Blue ball
One Styro-foam pole 24x4 cut, 4 ways
1’ orange shaggy fleece (fat quarter)
Burlap
9"x12" felt square – black
One pair clownhands
Two 7/8” x 1 ½” wooden spools
One Gleam silver
15" thick Jute
One pair Clown shoes
One pkg. 15"mm wiggle eyes
Fun fur Black
Delta Jubilee Green paint
Delta Rouge paint
Delta Black paint
Delta Rhythm Blue paint
Delta White paint
Instructions:
Cut styro-3"long blocks – 1 for legs, 1 for head.
Paint styro with brush Jubilee green & let dry.
Glue with glue gun a block to each end of the blue ball.
Glue 15mm eyes on head.
Paint on face using black (see sketch), White and Rhythm Blue (mix) Rouge, and White
Paint spools silver let dry glue to sides of neck.
Cut strip of orange shaggy fleece 1 ½ wide and fit around neck glue in place.
Clown hands : take 1 ½ wide and fit around neck glue in place.
Glue black felt around styrofoam block (legs) and glue to secure.
Clown feet: place feet on table so they stand without falling – place styro-cube over them and press pressure to leave indentation, now you have a placement: glue in place.
Burlap Jacket:
20"-24" Burlap – pull out string on end.
Wrap around to fit – trim as needed.
Cut + to open arm holes
Wrap around flute to tie & secure.
Monster Gloves
Supplies:
Clear gloves
White craft foam
Craft glue
Popcorn
Hot Tamales Candy
Tracing paper
Raffia
Instructions:
Trace bone pattern onto foam (scroll down).
Cut out white foam.
Arrange bones upside down on work surface. Apply glue to each bone.
Press finger bones onto glove.
When fingers are complete, press large hand portion into place. Let all dry.
Fill with popcorn. Glue Hot Tamales on fingertips.
Tie end with raffia.
