Homespun Crochet Hexagon Afghan in Colonial
Project by Lion Brand Yarn Company. No one will believe it took so little time to create such a beautiful family heirloom for your home. This richly textured afghan made from Homespun yarn is simple to crochet. Materials needed: 14 skeins of yarn (4 in Blue Ridge, 10 in Colonial), 1 silvalume crochet hook and printed instruction sheet.

Break A. Rnd 3: With B, ch 3, dc2tog into arch formed by hdc (counts as as dc3tog), *ch 3, (dc3tog, ch 3, dc3tog) into next space **, ch 3, dc3tog into next space; rep from * 4 times more, then rep from * to ** once, ch 1, 1 hdc into top of first cluster. Row 1 Very loosely ch 70, work Puff st in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across-68 Puff sts. Ch 2 and turn.


Row 2 Work Puff st in SP BETWEEN first and second st, work Puff st in each SP between Puff sts across, with last Puff st in SP between last st and beg ch 2. Ch 2 and turn. Rep Row 2 for patt until 57 rows total have been worked. DO NOT CUT YARN.


TRIM: Work Puff sts evenly around rem 3 edges, with 3 sts in corners, join with slip st to beg St. Fasten and end off.
