Need help painting a old saw blade
I have a old saw blade that I would like to paint.
How do you start? Isn't there something that you are suppose to coat them with first before you start painting the base color over? This one has a bit of rust on it and I don't want the rust to bleed threw so what do you do? Also what type of paint works best? I have never done this but would like to try and would appreicate any help. Thank you. |

My mother has painted well over 50 different saw blades. You can sand off the rust then use a primer. For paint she actually uses whatever she has, oils or even the acrylic craft paint. Good Luck!!

I have found that doing a base coat with "Gesso" works best. Then any acrylic or oil paint on top of that will work great!
