Arrow burned something in a pot? Toaster in need of cleaning? Here are two tips.

(first I would like to mention that I copied this from a newsletter I got. Even me as a german noticed the mistakes....and I know I make a lot too)

if you burn something in a pot put water in it and boil with 2
tablespoons of cream of tarter it realy works. alao to clean your toaster but
a little bakeing soda on a damp rag and wipe it town it will take the
brown off your toaster unplug it first tho

Thank you, Jalex. Here is another tried and true way to clean a pot or pan with burned on food: Used dryer sheets for softening clothes. (Like Bounce, for example) No kidding. Save your dryer sheets after using them in the dryer. Then put one in the bottom of a dirty pan and add hot water. Let soak for a few minutes.(or hours, if necessary.) Use the sheet to wipe away the softened "gunk". It takes virtually no effort! Apparantly, the chemicals left in the dryer sheet break the bond between the food and the pan.
