Hi! I have a couple of ideas. On the simple end of the spectrum, there's a book by Gwen Diehn, which she wrote for kids but which is also fun for grown-ups, called "Making Books that Fly, Fold, Wrap, Hide, Pop Up, Twist and Turn." It contains instructions for a number of different simple bindings. On the more professional end is a library supply company called Demco, which sells binding machines at a reasonable price. You might want to ask a librarian at your local public library what hints they have. You can, of course, spend a lot of money having things bound in leather by binding companies, but it sounds like you're looking for a simpler, cheaper option.
