Butterfly Trio Banner
Supplies • Zweigart® Stitchband #7195/012 - 16 count - yellow | white - 18" long • 6 strand floss • (1) 3/8" dowel - 12" long - cut in half • 1/4" wide ribbon - 12" length in white • silk flowers (we used Starflower - Sun Gold & Gypsophilia - shrimp) Pattern Size 4" wide x 10.75" high at 16 stitches per inch; 64 by 172 stitches Backstitch Guide DMC 310 or Anchor 403 for butterflies DMC 815 or Anchor 44 for flowers Notes 1. Begin stitching 4" from the top of the band. 2. Center the design horizontally. 3. Use 2 strands of floss for cross stitch; 1 strand to backstitch. Finishing 1. At top, turn under 1/4" and press. 2. Turn under again 1/2"; sew across and press. 3. Repeat 1. and 2. for bottom of banner. 4. Place each dowel through opening at top & bottom. 5. Tie ribbon at each end of dowel at top. 6. Cut flower stems off wire and secure with glue and attach to top of banner. ![]()
