Need Help Uses For Ceiling Tiles

My daughter just took down 200 ceiling tiles 12inx12in square corrugated tiles, she loves to craft but can't think of use for these, any ideas you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to stick tacks into it? Maybe if they go in good you could try to paint them and use them as message boards? I'm sure you could even paint them for holidays like painting a shamrock in the middle for St Patrick's?

hmm

if she had a lil kid around or someone did maybe you could somehow make squares with them like a cube and paint letters on them like wooden blocks than set two on the floor and one in middle of the two? hope that describes it well would be cute acces. in a kids room

Exclamation

Be careful! If these are the kind of ceiling tiles with the sheetrock substance in them, they can be hazardous to your lungs. I worked in a hospital in high school doing small repairs (ie replacing ceiling tiles, general maintence (sp?), etc.) and I had breathing problems when we'd cut ceiling tile to fit around pipes and corners. Cutting them up in any way will kick up dust. If these aren't the types of tile you're talking about... nevermind. Good luck with finding a great project for them. I think covering them with fabric and crisscrossing it with ribbon, and making a "french" message board would be cute...

How about printing up some nice poems

cut the poem to fit in the middle of the tile then put pressed flowers, bottons, sequins, decopog(sp) around the poem. Then sit them on shelves. Or you could hot glue 2 sticks on back print up all the different names of plants in your yard, glue the paper to the tile, clear coat it and put them in your yard, you could even decorate them if you wanted to.
