Mirror Arts N' Craft Ideas?
I've searched and searched to no avail....
Any xmas gift ideas for my 2ft by 3 1/2ft Mirrors this size includes the old wood frames that they are in approximately 1 1/2inch width all the way around. I have 3 of these mirrors and wish to create gifts of some sort with them if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Etching the glass would be pretty. Your local craft store would have the stencils and etching supplies you need. MJ Designs has a lot of stencils that are really pretty. OR you could try this idea, I saw one at a friends house and it was really pretty, it was a flower pot cut in half and glued to the mirror with a flower arrangement inside. I also saw some at a craft mall that did the same thing but it was candle votives with ribbons and flowers. You can buy the glass cutter at the craft store also. Hope this helps.

I did some projects with mirror frames a few years ago for my little sister and her friends - just take a color (acrylic craft paints are cheap and colorful) and paint the frame itself. Then write something like 'Princess' around the frame several times (or 'Best Friends' or a name) You could even use stick on stencil letters if you don't have a very steady hand, depending on the frame and the type of paint you use. I put glitter accents on the corners of the frame and on top of the letters using a glue pen to make it stick, but you could do just about anything you want to personalize it and make it unique.
Another idea is to buy some rubber stamps, a glue pen and embossing powder. A friend of mine loved frogs, so I painted the mirror frame green, then I stamped a frog on the glass after I 'colored' the stamp with the glue pen. Then I just used a handheld cigarette lighter to heat the powder enough to melt it (just be sure not to burn it). It was really cute! Another similar idea is to get some rubber stamp letters and stamp out a saying on the glass (I did one with 'You Look Maahvelous') and emboss it the same way.
If you happen to have access to seashells (we collect oodles of them when we go to the beach every year, but places like Walmart or craft stores usually sell seashells too), here's a cute idea (they sell the kit but I'm sure you could do something similar if your frames are flat and you have a variety of sizes and colors):

I'm not sure how to post a picture here, but you can look at the completed project here: http://a444.g.akamai.net/7/444/703/2...lmirkit1_s.jpg
Let me know if you need clarification on any of these ideas!
