A cute, FAST Kid's Craft :)

OK...since some tiny person decided NOT to sleep, I was up at 5:30 making a snowman! This is, as you all know, the very best possible time to invent a new craft project! LOL!

We ended up with a tube snowman that is so cute I wanted to share it with you all! Ten minutes, tape, paper and ribbon and POOF! an adorable snowman!

1. Wrap a tube in white paper, tape the seam so it is in the back--I grabbed a sheet straight from the printer!

2. Draw in black marker eyes and buttons down the front, use and orange marker for a carrot nose.

3. Turn the tube UPSIDEDOWN and trace the circle of it on black paper.

4. Cut out the circle leaving a one to two inch edge--this will be the hat brim. Be sure to save the inner circle..it is the hat "top".

5. Tape the brim in place..run the tape UP towards the top of the snowman, the tape will be covered by the next step.

6. Wrap a 2 or 3 inch strip of black paper above the brim...tape in place.

7. Add a ribbon to the hat just above the rim...we made a little daisy to tape to the ribbon as well.

8. Add a length of 1 inch thick ribbon around the "neck", knot the ends an inch from the end. Cut the ends into strips so the look like scarf fringe.

I have the pic of this finished, but I cant figure out how to post it!

PS. Im making a BIG one of these using those concrete form tubes that are gathering dust in the garage this weekend! Im buying a can of white spray paint and a cheapo hat/scarf combo! Finished it will be just about the same size as my toddler, and heavy enough so she wont be able to drag/knock it down/climb on/ it!
