Here's a fun way to help your kids count down the days until Christmas.

What you'll need:
2 STARBURST® Candy Canes
2 square yards of red felt (36-inch x 72-inch)
1 square yard of green felt (to cut out 25 smaller pieces, each 3-inch x 4-inch)
Hot glue gun
Glitter glue
Silver glitter
A needle and thread
A 1/2-inch wood dowel (28 inches-long)
A spool of decorative ribbon
25-50 pieces of candy. Choose from an assortment of the following: SNICKERS®, MILKY WAY®, TWIX®, 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand Miniatures, DOVE® PROMISES® Milk or Dark Chocolate Miniature Gifts, or SNICKERS® Brand Nutcracker
What to do:

Fold the red felt in half so that it is 36 inches long. Trim to 26 inches wide by 36 inches long. Along the 26 inch side with the fold, measure 3 inches from the fold and stitch to form a rod pocket for the dowel to slide through.
Slide the dowel through the pocket.
Tie the ribbon to both ends of the dowel and glue into place.
Leaving a 2-inch border around the edge of the felt, arrange the small felt pieces into five rows of five pieces each. These will become your pockets.
Use the hot glue gun to fix them into place. Remember to only glue the bottom and the sides. Leave the top of the pockets open. (You'll want to supervise your kids carefully so they do not get burned!)
Use your glitter glue to write the numbers "1" through "25" (for December 1 to 25) on each individual pocket.
To hang your calendar, cut one yard of ribbon and tie it to both ends of the dowel. Use extra ribbon to make two bows to secure a STARBURST® Brand Candy Cane at each end of the dowel.
Once the glue has hardened completely, tuck a candy treat into each pocket.
Enjoy one piece of candy each day until Christmas! NOTE: Make the pockets and calendar larger if you want to add more treats.
