Jack-o'-Lantern Invitations
Blow up orange balloons, draw faces with a black felt pen, roll up the invitation on small black or orange paper and insert into the balloon, along with orange and black confetti, plastic bugs and candy. Deflate the balloon, then the guest inflates it to see the face and pops the balloon to get the invitation.
Garbage-Bag Ghosts
Cut a hole in the top of a white plastic garbage bag. Thread black yarn or fishing wire through the hole and tie a knot. Insert a balloon under the bag, tie with yarn and draw a face with black felt pen on the garbage bag to resemble a ghost.
Spider Cupcakes
Bake or buy chocolate cupcakes, remove papers and cover with whipped topping. Bend four pieces of black licorice in half, insert two on each side of the cupcake to make spider legs and use small cinnamon candies to make glowing eyes.
Candy Apple Ghosts
Place a black plastic fork into an apple, dip in some melted white chocolate, place on waxed paper and make the facial features with black licorice. Place in a plate of candy corn to top off this fun treat.
Lighted Jack-o'-Lantern
Hollow out a pumpkin. Bore small holes throughout the surface and one hole in the bottom and place a string of Christmas lights inside the gourd. The cord will go through the hole on the bottom. Poke the light bulbs out through the holes in the pumpkin. These pumpkin luminaries look great close to walls or ceilings because of the unique light patterns they create.
