Arrow Candle wick help

I have this candle that is approx. 5" in diameter. It has 4 wicks. Two of the wicks are still there, but somehow they have been melted over.

Is there any way to salvage them so I can once again burn my candle? Any ideas?

suggestion

You can purchase a wire center wicks from a craft store. Use a scewer or toothpick or something similar to make a whole near the unuseable wick then insert the wire wick (at least an inch or two). This should let you burn the candle down past the present wick far enough to recapture/straighten and use the existing wick. Sometimes this works well other times the existing wick is just a bad wick and won't "cut the mustard". In which case at least you can continue to use the wire center wick.

a little harsh...

This may seem a little drastic...but it saved my multi wick candle from it's demise: cut the candle. you carefully even out the candle around the strings (wicks) slicing only wax.

it is now "like new"... but shorter. Infantessimally shorter though, you'll never miss the bit you had to remove, unless the problem is REALLY advanced (has been going on since the dinos roamed pangea or something ....LOL)

P>S> Happy early Birthday in case I don't run into you on a post/chat any time soon. It's been awhile. August, I think.

Ready for baby?
