REPLACE cap, keep finger over it and shake well. Remove cap and depress nib gently onto heavy scrap paper until paint fills tip. This usually takes 60 to 90 seconds. During storage, shake them once a week and write a few times to keep them flowing. Before painting design, always test the paint flow on scrap paper. Polymer Clay Pencil/Pen Toppers Simply cut two of the same shape cookie cutter from a 1/16" thick clay sheet (condition clay before use), place end of pencil/pen on first clay layer and press second clay shape on top. Remove pen/pencil and insert a metal screw inside to keep opening clear. When cool, write phrases on clay using Painters markers. For a shinny look, apply Sculpey Glaze over clay and painted words. Transferring Images To Clay Cut out design and apply thin even layer of Sobo glue to the back side and allow to dry. Condition clay by until pliable, and flatten to 1/8" thick. Place image on clay sheet and roll over design with roller, then cut the clay around the design. Remove the excess clay. Apply an even layer of TLS with paint brush over the surface of the image. Allow TLS to set up for 15 minutes, then bake project at 275 degrees for 20 minutes. While project is still in the oven, turn the oven up to 300 degrees and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Note: clay may curl slightly, if so, place books on it until cool. Secure magnets with silicone glue and dry overnight. Secure pin back with silicone glue or add a foam tape square to back side of pins. Note: 1" wide Images (such as the printable antenna flag at www.illusivewebdesign.com/myrally/flag/ may also be glued directly to pencils and pens using Sobo glue applied to the back of the paper) Polymer Clay "Support Ribbons" Condition some white, then blue and red clay and roll each into separate smooth balls. Wash hands well, then roll each ball into a 1/8" thick flat sheet. Stack the colors with red first, then white, then blue, and roll slightly to secure. Cut off rounded edges to form a rectangle or square. Using a long slicing blade, cut 1/8" thick strips and flatten each strip so it's 5-6" long. Shape into a loop and add a tiny white star where strip overlaps. Bake Premo for 15 minutes at 275 degrees and allow to cool. Add "USA" with ultra fine tip Painters marker and let dry. Secure a pin back to back side with silicone glue, or, add a piece of foam tape and wear with pride!
