Do you mean the actual cane, or cloth that looks like it? When I was a kid my mom had cane chairs. When she needed a new cushion for a non-cane bench, she needlepointed the top of the cushion so it looked like cane. I can ask her about the pattern if you want.

But what I need is the woven cane cloth that is the actual seat of the cane chair.

Star, this is exactly what I have been looking for. I have been refinishing kitchen cabinets by myself. I needed to have something that air passes through for the center of the cupboard doors as in the summer, the interiors get like ovens due to not having insullation in the walls. I have thought of so many materials that I could use, but I envisioned it with the cane cloth and now you have given me what I needed.
