Maybe I'm not reading your post right, but I didn't let anyone "get away" with stealing my stuff. Like I had mentioned in my post above, they usually come in a big van with a load of people in it. A couple of them keep you occupied by asking how much is this and how much is that, while their family/friends quickly steal stuff. Once they all pile back into the van and take off, it is then that you realize things are missing. I would
NEVER intentionally let anyone get away with stealing my stuff.
This is why I always have a few people with me now in every yard sale so that I can have more eyes watching these people.
