When I signed on for the job I chose nursing in order to be available to patients and because I love the work. I didn't get an RN, MSN and MS in Clinical Psych in order to be a paper pusher. Of course healthcare fraud happens but I don't deal in medical billing. We have people that do that. If someone screws with a CPT, ICD-9 and 10 and so forth, I don't see it. I can tell you with 100% honesty when I precertifyand deal with insurance companies it's for the need of the patient.
I don't know why you would even question my prior statement, as bolded above.
I already live in a state that has healthcare reform and waste is very minimal with so many fingers in the pie.
