I've found that many of those $6.00 light bulbs don't last as long as some of the cheep older bulbs.
I also think that people like Al Gore are pretty sick to go around alarming everyone of global warming but they don't want to make any personal changes themselves. Look at all the people that are on the global warming band wagon. Most of them fly around in private jets and ride in limos. They keep nice and warm or nice and cool depending on the season, yet they want all of the rest of us to conserve.
Al Gore is pathetic.
