Angry Property Taxes

Today our property taxes were due. You would think with it being the due date, the office would stay open past noon. We got them paid, but not without alot of hassle.
First of all you would think you could use your debit card to pay them. You can pay any other bill or tax with one. Everyone knows if there is no money on the card it will not work. Well they don't and DH and I had to find a bank to get the money out.
Then they have the oldest people working there. This lady couldn't count worth a %^*&!!! She finally got it right, after telling her there is no way that the bank, DH and myself counted wrong.
How many years will it take for these people to get there job right? This is not the first year that they are collecting property taxes.
Ok here is my thought for next year. I looked very carefully all over the office there, while waiting for the woman to count yet again. I did not see any sign that says they don't accept credit or debit cards. And I didn't see a sign that says they don't accept change. So I am going to save all my change for next year. Hopefully it will be mostly pennies lol. I will roll all the change so they can't complain about that!
What is everyone's opinion on this? They really have $&%%& me off this time. Last year was bad enough, we got the bill the day it was due. And then the office was closed, had to pay 10% penalty for that one.
This is only the second time for us paying property taxes. The man who we bought the house off, paid the first years for us. Not looking forward to dealing with them again.
Learned my lesson and won't forget what day they are due again. Expecially next year because I am looking forward to paying in change!
