SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts mother is inviting men to her house Sunday to audition as bridegrooms.
It's not for a TV show. Donna Woods is trying to find a real-life husband for her 22-year-old daughter, Devlin. Woods got the idea from watching the reality show "Who Wants to Marry My Dad?"
Devlin said that at first she thought her mother crazy, but after she gave it some thought, she agreed to do it.
They began setting up chairs on the front lawn of their Southbridge home Saturday. But they were expecting far more than the 35 chairs they have - more than 100 men have responded to lawn signs and advertisements.
The family was hoping to have the field narrowed to 10 applicants by Sunday afternoon.
