um, yeah, because if you are watching through a screened in porch or through a window, and somthing happens to your FOUR YEAR OLDS, you're gonna be able to get right to them. Yeah, right, sure, whatever.
And to the argument that the gate was rusted & broken, well, if she had been watching them they wouldn't have gotten in the gate. If she knw the gate was broken, she should have been apying more attention. Geez! All of her defenses are ridiculous! I'm glad the jury saw right through them.
