If you can drop off a check, I would encourage you to do that instead of mailing or using bill payer. My mother sent a check into her electric company 5 DAYS ahead of schedule and they sent her a letter charging her the late fee cause it was not in the office on the date is was due. She sent me over with a check and I paid (w/o the late fee) and she called them and fussed. Needless to say, she drives to the co. and pays the day it is due. I do not trust mail service if I can drop it off myself. LOL.
