What are you meaning by "dead thread"? The way Katt shows how to do this, any thread older than 5 days, won't be shown. Isn't 5 days already the rule?

I'm not sure where the confusion is, but if you look at Katt's #4, it says to list all threads
within the last 5 days. If a thread comes up, then it's still within the 5-day rule. If a thread doesn't, that means the 5 days is past, and you can start a new thread for whatever program you were looking for.
